Noida: In a significant move to tackle unauthorized constructions, the Noida Authority has identified and marked approximately 22 buildings across various sites as 'illegal'. This initiative involves the use of stickers and other methods to alert potential buyers about these structures. Reports indicate that buildings erected without the necessary approvals have been labeled as 'illegal' using red ink.
According to sources, the Noida Authority has taken steps against illegal encroachments in areas such as Garhi Chaukhandi and Basai villages, which include shops, hotels, and residential properties. Notices in red ink were affixed to around 22 illegal buildings to safeguard prospective buyers. The identification and labeling process is being conducted by senior managers from Circle 1 to 10 under the direction of Noida Authority CEO Dr. Lokesh M.
On Thursday, a team from Work Circle 5 inspected the authority's acquired and notified land at Plot numbers 13, 16, 17, 34, 35, 36, 37, and 38 in Basai village and Garhi Chaukhandi. Senior Manager Parasnath Sonkar reported that illegal constructions are occurring on land situated between FNG and Pushta.
Efforts to halt construction activities in this area have been made, and notices have been posted on all identified buildings. The Noida Authority had previously warned builders about potential demolition to reclaim the land and recover costs. Furthermore, any illegal construction discovered on the authority's plots following the survey will categorize the encroacher as part of the land mafia.
